Ghosts, Anger and the Freezing Cold
I’d almost made to the priest when I felt the blast of anger. It was worse than anger, it was absolute fury. It stopped me in my tracks.
I turned slowly to look. I’d been here too long to have an emotional reaction, such as fear, but this was close. As quickly as it came, it was gone.
I cocked a brow, just as I would have done in life, as I looked to the source. I really needed to explain this whole link, and what one felt, or done, affected us all.
I shook my head and turned back to go to the priest. Gone. Of course. He took every opportunity he could to disappear from me.
Crap.
I watched as a few of the Others floated back in from what was probably a reaction to the blast. Some of them were ridiculous in the perpetual floating. They had been here longer than I.
The Sanctuary was finally empty of the warm bodies and the chill was beginning to settle back in. This many spirits in one place was bound to cause the thermometer to drop.
But, wait. It was dropping a little to fast.
