Slowly the afternoon crowd trickled in, consisting mostly of hard partyng teenagers or women who were going out for society luncheons.
The elevator dinged and Farley heard the voices of the twins, Ruby and Pearl Truffington.
“I’m the prettiest because of my name!”, shouted Pearl.
“No! I am because my name Ruby is wild and beautiful and Pearl is like, some boring nuns name” Ruby said.
Suddenlt the twins saw Farley and Ruby smiled.
“I know how we can settle this” she said “The doorman will decide!”
They both ran up to Farley and Pearl saying, “Which one?”
The twins were both beautiful but Pearl, with her hair in a bob and wearing a sweater set was more reserved, while Ruby wearing skintight jeans with nothing but a small green vest was more wild.
Suddenly Mrs. Maglerere came in, saving Farley from the expectent stares of the twins.
“What can I do for you?” Farley said.
She looked at Farley and barked out,”I need a town car”
Farley smiled, for once was glad she was in.
