It was Friday afternoon before spring break and Liz sensed the anticipation as she strolled towards the lobby. The students were making plans for the upcoming week…trips to the beach, working at the mall, finishing a term paper. Her plan was simple; she didn’t have one.

Shirley, the division secretary, came running down the hall. “Professor Elliot! I’m so glad that I found you, I thought I’d missed you.”

“I was just on my way out.” Liz explained.

Shirley smiled, “I was told to give you this…” She held an envelop addressed to Prof. Elliot.

“Who gave you this?” Liz scrutinized the handwriting.

“A very handsome gentlemen in a very expensive suit.” Shirley had obviously been impressed.

“Did you get his name?” Liz asked.

“Ummmm, no, I’m sorry,” Shirley was embarrassed.

“It’s OK,” Liz smiled. She fingered the flap of the envelop, “Have a great spring break.”

“Thanks, you, too.”
