Q's Meeting
There was no flash of light, which was what I expected. It was Q’s signature entrance. I felt nothing as I slipped from what I Thought of as ‘The Real World’ and into his space. There was just the visual sense of being pulled, inward. Folding into myself, collapsing on the space that i once took. Nothing was left but the things i once treasured.
I came through the other side with a memorable folding out, unraveling into the space of which i was destined. I was pulled into the center of his chamber. . . where once in the time line of history a great man stood exactly where I did then. And before me, upon his mighty floating throne, sat the man who I would one day kill with power i could not have imagined then, Let alone possessing them. But time flows in one direction and that is not yet to come. I didn’t know it them . . . and neither did he.
A smirk swept across my face and as i looked his face mirrored mine in the smile. This was what i had been waiting for.
“Welcome, Alex. I have been waiting for you.”
