Why Strawberry Why??

Sweet treat so jucy and red.
Sweet treat that can make me dead.
Beautiful strawberry a lucious desert.
But when I bite you my my does it hurt.
My wonderful and seedy surprise, that
closes my throat and gives me hives.
Oh lil fruit that I adore, why is it me that
you diplore?
Strawberry sunday or banana split, same result,
a needle stick.
Maybe someday they’ll develop a cure,
and I’ll have shakes and splits and tarts galore.
But as for now while cures there are none.
Guess I’ll have to try to eat only one!!
