Revelation.

He stood on the hill waiting, looking at what he was leaving behind. It looked vast and endless though in reality he knew better.

As to what he was waiting for no one really knew, that was lost long ago along with his heart. The air around was getting chilly. Winter was approaching and time was running out.

Eventually the young man, leaning against the tree became nostalgic but knew better then to regress into a state of ignorance. Back to the time when he throught he could have his cake and eat it too.

As he tried to fight back both distant memories and long forgotten promises he realized how foolish he was. He kicked the snow as he began his climb back down. The hill was high and the moist earth did not make it any easier.

When he made it down he knew what he had to do. He would wait. Wait for as long as it took but in the meanwhile will move on. Despite how akward that sounded, it made perfect sense to him.
