A Million More Post -it -Notes
Billy used to complain all the time about all the post-it-notes around the house that his wife Barb had left everywhere to remind her of things to do, grocery lists, doctors’ appointments, endless doctors appointments.
The clutter used to get on his nerves, as he was borderline OCD .
Billy took a pink post-it-note off the fridge and read it aloud to himself, “Add ice to Alex’s bowl, he likes it cold.”
Alex, their cat, appeared when he heard his name, looked in his bowl of water as if to say ‘where’s my ice dumbass’.
Billy added ice to the cat’s water bowl.
A standard yellow post -it-note read: NO STRESS !!!, and Billy recalled when Barb wrote it after her first doctors appointment after she found the lump in her breast. Billy suppressed a tear.
An older blue post-it-note read Maple Brown Sugar cereal, her favorite brand that she liked to break up and put on her waffles and pancakes to give it a crunch.
What Billy wouldn’t give now for Barb to be here to write a million more post -it -notes.
