That secret grin.
I spun around toward him without pulling my earphones out. The cogs in my mind we going crazy. Why was he here? More like, why was he here with them?
“Hey…” I said sheepishly.
“It’s getting pretty late, huh?” He took off my black beanie and plugged a earphone into his own ear. “Wow, I didn’t know you were into this kind of music.”
“Yeah, I guess.” I felt like pouring my whole self into him at that moment. He was the kind of guy that would understand my pain. Even though he didn’t know my feelings, I could read his eyes as plain as a book. They had a confused, alert look to them. I couldn’t help but stare into those deep green wonders. The group moved in a different direction, but he stood by me.
“Are you okay? You seem different lately.”
“Thats none of your buisness.”, wishing I had chose something less harsh to put out there.
“Well then…” He cut diagonally toward a bench. He knows I want him. He knows exactly how to make me admit it without saying a word.
