A deathly hiccup
He’d watched all the movies of course. The heroes that live each day over until they find the one key, that one little item/emotion/quest that has to be done to make the day end properly.
Of course in Jor’s case it would probably be the simple act of dying in the right manner.
After all, the Hunters were never known to miss a mark. In this case it must be his fault for not running in the right direction, or maybe falling on his face instead of on his back.
No doubt about it, he’d have to try and die in as many places and positions as possible until he found the right one.
Squaring his shoulders and prepping himself for such an arduous task, Jor once more set out to meet his fate.
