Thanksgiving
An ordinary Thanksgiving: first, the relatives arrive. There are squabbles over who gets what bed and who sleeps on the couch. The funny thing is, it’s the same arrangement every time. Then, there are arguments on what to watch on t.v. The guys want to watch the ‘big game’, but the girls and children want to watch the parade. In the end, the football fans go upstairs and everyone else downstairs; as always. Finally, it’s time for the big meal. As usual, everyone decides that they need to use the bathroom to get ready. It’s a flurry of last minute adjustments until Mom and Grandma call to the house in general that dinner is ready. When everyone thunders downstairs, it’s like a herd of elephants has entered our house. Finally, we are all settled down in the dining room, ready to eat. Even after all the arguments, we look around and realize that we wouldn’t have it any other way.
