My Fallen Vengeance
After the movie, her and I walked to the nearby park. She was so beautiful that night. I hardly watched the movie; only through her eyes did I see a few scenes.
I was feeling fine… I didn’t think it’d end the way it did.
As we walked down the winding stretch of the park, I felt that something was missing. I became a paranoid wreck. I ran from her to the fountain, only to find nothing but the ripples of the bleak water. No reflection.
I felt my cheeks becoming fuller and my need for feed growing stronger. I frantically looked around to see if there was someone to pray upon. My head spun and stopped on her angelic glow.
“No…”, I whispered.
I could see her confused expression as she walked towards me from under the street light. I turned and hid my face. I couldn’t let her know. But my thirst was powerful and I needed to drink. I wanted her, but not like this!
“It had to be done.”, I said to myself.
I can’t bear to watch the evening news.
Damn this thirst.
Yet how I love to hear them scream…
