Yikes! I love how this one leaves the reader asking questions… is he lying or telling the truth? I’m not sure a detective would really be so trusting, though; my guess is he would detain the suspect for questioning rather than take him at his word in a case like thise. I’m not a fan of “jump cuts” in stories like these but you handled yours very gracefully. Thanks for entering my challenge!
