A Little Misunderstanding
Frankie died composing a sonnet to his mistress. Keeled over of a stroke caused by a small blood vessel bursting somewhere deep in his brain.
Which, believe it or not, was the consequence of his crossing another woman in his early twenties who’d cast a hex on him.
Which of course had little effect (she had no training in the black arts) but worried Frankie to the point where he started smoking to ease his nerves.
Anyway, his wife found him and the sonnet after a rather clandestine dinner with an old flame and naturally assumed it was about her.
