Me, Always Me
I look out the car window. I can see my big, dark brown eyes reflected in the window. I think about all that has happened to me in my life, all the blessings I’ve gotten.
As I put my curly, frizzy blonde hair in a bun, I think about all my friends. Friends from church, from school, friends from random places. I think about how fortunate I am to have them. I also think about how fortunate I am to have joined band. I am very proud to be a band geek.
I think about my passion for bowling, as well as my passions for reading and writing. I also dread the homework I will have in my honors classes after this break. I’m gonna have to work hard to keep up my a plus average.
I think about my family. My mom, who always supports me, my grandma who’s always there to talk. I also think about God, and how He’s always there for me.
We finally reach our destination, the same destination I’ve had since I was born: we are home.
