The City of Lies

Here I walk in my home town. The place where I’ve been for several years now.
There’s no exit. It’s just closed in.
To get inside, you have to reach the life of someone who has been lied to many times. Someone who knows the feeling of being betrayed. Someone who has thought about nothing but the bad points in life, and why you should end yours. This is a tough city to live in, but it’s my home.
The lights in the city are bright. Some of them blind you. The brighter the light, the more the lie hurt me. The more it stung.
The water in the city represents how I felt like I couldn’t breathe.
My city has not been created by me, but from the people who hurt me; the people who lied; who broke their promises.
Many people have built the walls that surround me. They broke my heart and tore me apart.
I have no people in my city. I only have shadows of the past and darkness from the future.
So welcome my dear for I want you to hear that this is The City of Lies.
