Simple Flowers
You and I are simple flowers
That have sprouted beyond vivid colors and live beyond twilight hours
Sweet nectar as the spring dew makes life a little better
You and I are simple flowers
Far beyond the research of experts and scholars who claim knowledge that can help us live better and larger
They document our thoughts and attempt to evolve them.
You and I are simple flowers
Simple in love as well as hardships and pains.
Like flowers drying from drought, yet patient for rain.
You and I are Simple Flowers
That still through the years, have watered one another from happy tears
Overcome those inquisitive in our life along with their peers.
We appear to others of dull colors as insane and suicidal
Lacking common sense, they look at us as if we live in denial
As if the drought and outsiders all should overcome our bright relationship.
Yet they forget
We’re simple flowers
Survival’s as clear to you and I as a bright sun Sky or a quenching drink of water.
