Well Defended Psychological Winners
Okay, after developing a complex and objective scoring system (I don’t know why—probably using intellectualization to avoid an emotionally ambiguity), I have decided on a winner. There were a lot of great….blah, blah, blah. Anyway, the runner’s up [those what had almost as many points]:
Someday_93 gets both the ‘Gut Wrencher’ Award and ‘Little Miss Popularity’ for having the most positive comments on a horrific little tale, ‘Repression…’.
Kermitgorf gets the ‘Comegedy’ Award for making a tragic murder funny in ‘Denial Ain’t Just a River in Egypt’. Yes, how disturbing.
Eckhouse gets the ‘Make Freud Beam’ Award for having a mother and a father in a ficlet about Freudian defense mechanism, ‘Mother, Father’. Really, just say the title with a Viennese accent and see how much you giggle. Now, how was his relationship with his mother?
The winner, by a very slim margain, was Annabel Lee with a poignant and spot on use of fantasy as a mechanism in ‘Sweet Escape’.
Thanks to all for playing!
