The End of the Game (not the story!!!)
Patrick scurried from his spot on the ground and sprinted out of the clearing.
He’s probably going to send a bunch of people her to get us.
I turned to the tree Alex was sitting in.
I held out a hand.
“Let’s go. Patrick’s probably going to sent a ton of people to us.”
Alex wouldn’t take my hand, and I knew why.
I knelt down on the long, soft, brown pine needles, my eyes keeping a steady hold on hers.
“Look, you saw me at the wrong time, and we can talk if you want to talk, we can talk, but for right now, we have to get out of here.”
She took my hand and I pulled her up. She slung her arm around my neck, and, realizing what she was going, I wrapped my arm around her slim waist.
Hoooonnnngggg The odd horn the camp master was using blew, and the game was over. Both Alex and I won, all our game tags were still on us.
