Most of the challenges I’ve seen are in celebration of writing a certain number of ficlets, heck, all of them are. I’m not against personal perserverance and guady ficlet stats—actually I think it’s great and I’m going to celebrate my 50th ficlet with a challenge. But what I value more is comments per ficlets written. I have just hit 80 comments after writing 10 ficlets. That means I write 8 comments for every one of my own ficlets. I want to encourage others to give comments after they write.
Now, let’s get down to business.
The Challenge: Write a story with as many metaphors

and alliterated words that you can possibly fit into one

ficlet without flubbing up the flow of the story or getting in

the way of the reader’s comprehension and overall

understanding.

The Top 5 will be recognized on Christmas Eve. The BEST STORIES will win—even if they don’t have the most metaphors or alliterated words.
