Christmas Wishes

She stepped out of the warmth of the strangers car into the cold night air. The wisps of the sickly gray tree blew puffs of wind into her face. She looked up, the stars glistened above her and she could see christmas lights shining from every corner. She frowned as tears wanted to well in her eyes. How could everything look so perfect but she just felt so, so wrong. She walked endlessly down the road, the cold surrounded her like an endless aurua. With every step it was as if she could hear the devils laughter trailing behind her. Where she was going? She had no idea. She was lost in thought until she heard a voice.
“Marilyn?” the crying voice asked. She looked through the fog.
“Mom?” she said with little hope. She heard her mothers foot steps run twoard her and felt the tremendous warmth of her. She stood there holding her mother breathing in her scent. She had left home long ago, she merely ran away.
“It’s like my Christmas wish came true.” her mother sobbed. It was true, she did miss home.
