This is largely an experiment in writing a story using future tense – I’d be very keen to hear any feedback you have about the story.

I think it’s cool, but things like this ALWAYS need a sequel. And, in my experience, only godlike beings speak in this tense.
Very good though. :D And an interesting idea, especially because how he feels about painting is how I feel, usually, about writing and academics in general.

I love this one! It’s almost as if the hands of fate have plotted a horrible joke and nothing can stop the punchline. I took it upon myself to write a sequel, told in past tense, as a sort of before-and-after piece. :-)
