Her dress whirled around her legs as she walked in search of her furture husband. The boat tipped her side to side and the cold water sprinkled her lightly. She turned the corner and the sight that hit her broke her heart in two. Nathan was at the very tip of the bow with another girl, kissing her.
“K-kaylene.” he said surprised. She took a look at the girl, brown hair, petite, hazel eyes. Kaylenes blue eyes dripped tears as she tugged on the hem of her white dress that ended a few inches above her knee. She walked towards the girl, took the ring of her finger and placed it on hers. It glistened on the girls tan skin as Kaylene stared at it.
“You know, lifes funny. You never know whats coming next, around every corner there seems to be a surprise.” she said in tears.
“Guess I’ve been going around and around the block.” Kaylene walked away, head held high, her blonde hair flowing with the wind and her eyes sparkling like the water even through the tears.
