the window of the past 2
Well I am Jewish and they are taking people that are different like gypsies and Jews and other people of different cultures and tanking them away to a place called a ghetto. My parents don’t want me to go so your parents are helping our family hide. Oh I said I sat down too. So for a while we are going to be sisters. I thought this over. That’s ok. Because we are best friends. I smiled. She half smiled. And looked around my room. It changed. She whispered. I know I said not knowing what to say. My room did change in the past few months it was less girly and more serious. Let’s change it again. She said like old times. With that she got up and said we should move the dresser by the window. And like that we were acting like nothing happened. In an hour we had my room redecorated. And we were laughing. My mother came up and told us to get ready for bed. We closed our windows and did as we were told to do. As we lay in bed we talked. Are you scared she asked, out of random? I guess I am. Oh. Well I guess I am.
