Body Builder Heartbreak
You lifted me up
You carried me
And when we reached the Shore
I counted, “Twenty,
My turn nowâ?
You could bench press me twice
And then some
This was some feat since I weighed 260
Well 261 now
Since we met I’d gained a pound.
It was in my heart,
A muscle I’d neglected in my previous workouts
But weights would change
And you’d move on
You did a few reps with me
Then your set was done
You maxed out my heart
And dropped the bar
I sat in the sauna for days
I never thought it would end this whey
When I came out and cooled down
I found my heart on the ground
Near where your locker used to be
But my fingers were to humongous to pick up the pieces
[Every now and then I see you
Working on your Pecs
No thank you I’ll stick to my glutes
I don’t want to get supraventricular tachycardia, again
(I’m still sore from the last time)]
