Life in Grayscale
Not many people can say that their favorite color is gray. Not many people notice it at all. In fact, gray is probably the most important color- or shade- that exists. Think about black and white movies, books, comics, photos… how many things are purely “black and white”? Almost everything in black and white is a shade of gray.
Gray is the color that alerts. Storm clouds, gray, warn of impending rain. Smoke, gray, warns of a coming fire. Gray is a warning, a subtle signal of something huge to come.
Gray, in television, movies and photography, has always led to color. The interpretation of gray it was gives us the power to color our world. People see gray as dull or boring, but it makes up more of our lives than we’d like to acknowledge. Most of my clothes are gray. Most of the time, the clouds are gray. In fact, I challenge someone to go one day without seeing something gray.
Well, I say, three cheers for the most under appreciated color! Hooray for gray!
