You've Met Daddy
With Brett in front of me, I dropped the emotions I’d been wearing simply as a mask and stared at him, nothing but that so called spark that Shade insists I wear so well. I can’t seem to get rid of it. The “spark” that makes me so attractive, apparently. A unique zest for life. Tom stared blankly.
“Whatever, chill, Tom.” A look of disappointment seemed to fit his face rather well, like a custom-made hat as Shade poked his head out of the shadows and held his hand out to shake Tom’s.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Shade, Heather’s boyfriend.” As if he didn’t already know that, I thought. He prolly liked me, too. I chuckled to myself as Brett led me into his room, and I smiled sweetly down at him.
“You’ve met Daddy, I s’pose!” he said, laughing.
