The Betrayal
The weeked moved slowly after history class. I found it amusing that after trying to become popular, the fact of me moving made me the talk of the grade. It seemed as if all the stares, whispers, and fingers were directed towards me. It didn’t bother me though; until before spanish class…
“So, Erika, are you free Saturday?” Megan asked.
I should explain, Erika is a really annoying girl. Nobody really likes her, but Megan absolutely despises her. I wonder what Megan’s up to.
“Well, I guess. Why?”
“I don’t know. I was just wondering if you wanted to go see a movie. Maybe Enchanted or I am Legend?”
Now, this was a big surprise. Usually Megan, Alex, and I went to see movies together. And we had planned to see Enchanted together. I had to let Alex know. But, they weren’t done talking yet.
“Will anyone else be there?” Erika asked.
“Probably just Alex.”
Oh, well, this was too much. I turned to look at Megan and she gave me a look that could mean only one thing. She had just declared war.
