An Abusive Relationship
He’s coming home from the bar
With a beer to go
Speeding in his car
And she doesn’t know
He bursts in the door yelling
About his bad day
So violent that she’s telling
Him to go away
He starts to apologize
Pulls her over with a tug
And stares into her eyes
As if each a drug
He holds her tight
She’s turning white as snow
She starts to loose sight
But he won’t let go
She tries to break away
But he misunderstands
What she’s trying to say
And he grabs her by the hands
Hitting and kicking
His wife almost dead
He hears a loud ticking
As he hits her head
Her body now cold
Her brilliant face pale
If only she’d been bold
And not so frail
It’s too late
For second thoughts
She and death had a date
So now her body rots
It’s happening everyday
Women being beat
There has to be a way
For abusive habits to meet their defeat
