Brenda's New Job
The day of her interview with the advertising firm of Bippitooti & Whelchel our heroine Brenda Trablipocris awoke feeling vaguely apprehensive about the strange turn her life had taken in the last 2 weeks. She had left her job at The Carp Firm in a storm of bitter recrimination. Mr Carp (or Mr Crap) as Brenda secretly referred to him would not have her bottom around to pinch anymore. But then Brenda wouldn’t have the hefty paychecks and month’s paid vacation around anymore either. Perhaps Bippitooti & Whelchel would provide as well for her as Crap had. Brenda knew very little about Mr Bippitooti but she did know that Ms Whelchel had gained some amount of fame in the 1970s due to her stint as Blair on the hit television program The Facts of Life. Brenda often considered herself a real life version of Natalie played by Mindi Cohn. Fat, unassuming, and terminally dorky, Brenda had, nevertheless risen to the top of the secretary pool and now was considered one of the top administrative assitants in the state
