Lego Star Wars
“Mel, get up.” someone nudged me.
“Alright, Mom, I’ll see you when you get back from work. I love you, bye.”
I heard somebody laugh, and it wasn’t Mom – it was Matt.
Oh snap.
I pointed an accusing finger at him, “That never happened, got it?”
“Trying to forget about it myself.”
I sat up and stretched. I wanted to ask what time it was, but there was something missing in the room. “Matt, where’d Hayden go?”
“I woke him up a few minutes ago. I think he went to go take a shower.” he looked me in the eye, “but if you fancy something to do I’ll kick your butt in Lego Star Wars for PS2 .”
“There’s a Lego Star Wars game?”
“Yeah. But you’d probably suck at it anyway.” he said, playfullness and edge lurking about in his eyes.
“That sounds like a challenge! Bring it on!”
And we started playing. I hadn’t the faintest idea of what I was doing. He tried talking me through it, but.. what’s an R2D2 , anyway?
