Something To Say
The moments leading up to when I was going to be able to him dragged on. In that time, I explained everything – about Derrick, about Chad.. about Bryn.. and now she knew why she had to leave and let me be alone with him. She understood, and when the time came, she left. I was excited, but nervous. I was about to spill my feelings to my best friend, and if he doesn’t like me back, then everything will be awkward and I may lose him as my friend.
But I have to tell him, I never know when I’m going to lose him all together.
I made my way up to him. I had to remind myself not to use the elevators, and I took the steps. When I got up there, I entered his room to find him flipping through channels, awake, blinking, breathing.. it was a sight to behold.
“Chad.” I whispered. He looked over at me and his face lit up.
“CHRISTY!” he yelled, almost stumbling out of his bed. I ran over to him and gave him the biggest hug I could.
“Chad, I got-”
“I have to tell you something too.”
