Tonight was the initiation for Bridget. She was going to officially become a “bestie”. We had everything planned out. The sleepover was at Lindsay’s house this Friday, and that is where the “ceremony” would take place.

I don’t think it could have gotten much cornier, with us reading vows that sounded like we were marrying each other, and Linz reading the 10 commandments of friendship she made up. And of course the song “Graduation (Friends Forever)” by Vitamin C playing in the background.

We even knighted Bridget, making everything official. We covered it all. And after the ceremony was over it was back to the typical weekly sleepover style. Mini bottles of Dr. Pepper, Pirates Booty, and a full carton of Edy’s Loaded ice cream.

With friends like these, who needs boys???
