“I don’t want to hear a story! Just…leave me alone!”

“No. Listen, please. She was just like you, resistant to it all…”

She never wanted to be part of us. And like you, Lunis, she had no choice. But, what was done was done, and she was brought here, to this very house. But, this was many years ago—it was in all its finery, not such as it is now. Despite this, she hated it, and she hated me. And she chose to leave.

“Well, she had it right then!”

“No. No, she didn’t. Because she couldn’t thrive on her own…”

For two days, we couldn’t find her. It was turmoil, because we knew what terrible things could happen if she were to be released back into the world. But, as we hoped, she returned, once she found…

Lunis knew the answer to this one. “She found her family, didn’t she! She found them…just like I did…” He fought back tears of anger, not wanting to let Eclipso see him cry. “You killed them, just like you killed my family!”

“Yes,” Eclispso said. “But please, let me finish. You see…”
