I really like the fact that you all have read and been touched by this series. It brings up social, technological, and geological issues that noone wants to touch with a nine and half foot pole.

I still think my favorite of the series is Specials. With Extras coming in a close second. Not that I didn’t like Uglies and Pretties as well, afterall, had I not thoroughly enjoyed the first two, I never would have made it to the last. I loved Specials for the overall shock value.

Poor Shay went through so much only to end up where she was; a complete and total emotional roller coaster. Not a wonder she was head Cutter. And such a calculating Special.
