And so I told. I told my teachers. There were some serious issues in me telling though.
1. Marcus was still at school. Which means I had to lie and tell them that he only poked my sides.
2. I’m still afraid of him, though he’s not allowed to come near me. Words from a distance I can still hear coming out of his mouth.
3. He only suspended for three days while I suffered for a month. (I lied about that to the teachers too. I’m an idiot.)
4. He can come near in gym period because those teachers don’t know about anything.
5. I was the main subject of gossip for the next month. Rumor went that he raped me. Another was that we slept together.
6. I didn’t tell the truth.
And because I didn’t tell the teachers and the police all of the truth, Marcus is still haunting. He knows that I didn’t tell about everything, which means he still has power over me. And he still has high school for any type of revenge. So whether he stopped or not, it’s not like it matters at all because he still won over me.
