Nearly There
I had the weirdest sensation that I was flying. Strange, I know, because I was at home, safe and snug in my bed, right?
Wrong. I opened my eyes, and the events of the night were all coming back to me. Fairy Godmother…
Speak of the devil..
“Good morning, Destiny,” the lady smiled, holding out a basket full of muffins. I chose blueberry and bit into it.
I glanced around. We were still in the woman’s bubble-thing. Since it was clear, it gave the idea that there was nothing keeping me up this high in the air. I shivered. Freaky.
The bubble was flying high over a forest. Large mushrooms sprouted in clusters, red with white polka-dots. The world below looked cheery and somehow magical. This wasn’t the home I knew anymore…
“Fairy Godmother?” I asked.
“What, dear?” She was seated on a stool, knitting something.
“Where are we?”
“We, love, are flying over the Forest of Elessuia, in the land of Syndromina. This is my world.”
“Wow,” I said, glancing at the forest.
“Now hang on tight, we’re nearly there.”
