Tempers raged but no one formally complained. They were feeling shame as they felt the blame for Jesse’s mistake was as much theirs as his. Those who could afford to pay did and those who could not found refuge in Mars’s capital, Gwevio.
Jesse found this as a chance to redeem himself. It was 2632 and almost 30 years of destroying evil had left Piscola in a sort of golden sheet. Not a sheet as such, but Jesse, after a few missions, found that all the victims’ incalculable assets were all gold. Gold would not melt in the heat their owners produced (while dieing) so Jesse collected it all to Piscola. A very small portion went into their work, (oil, swords etc) and Jesse had never found a noble enough cause to give the rest to. Now here was his chance. With it, he went personally to as many houses as he could, (impossible by any account so a dozen hundred of Sang Vengeance helped) and gave them the money they needed to travel to a triplet. Jesse found himself once again the hero of the new world.
