I really like where this story is going and love the humor..
One point: confused a bit on the sudden clarified ‘Future Sam’. When does he know conclusively it is a future self? (I know.. the you, I, we… but still, he thought it was a joke then.) The story is great and your contributions funny and clear otherwise!! :)

Oh.. and he was believing the ‘enchanted notebook’ enough to follow through with it a few seconds ago.. I still like this though!! :)

Susan those are good questions. I guess I was playing off the previous installment when he dropped the notebook stunned and placed a bid. He figured since he was bidding on a time machine, he was communicating with a future self. Or maybe I just thought it was funny :)
