Ficlets

A Delightfully Awkward Philosophical Exploration of my Pen Name: Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Lauren. Now this little girl was a very quirky child that no one quite understood. She didn’t realize music after 1974 existed before 1998. She also didn’t know that it was not normal for a 4th grader to read Louisa May Alcott and Shakespeare.
One day in 6th grade she discovered a book in her Grandpa’s closet. It was Pride and Prejudice.
Grandpa let little Lauren take the book home. She was excessively excited because the people in the book were quite delightful and charming.
Then she “met” Mr. Darcy. It was her first love.
But she discovered she couldn’t marry a fictional character and wanted to cry. She also discovered she was not Lizzy Bennet. She wanted to cry some more.
This little girl wanted to marry him for so many years and when she discovered Ficlets nearly 10 years later she discovered she could…at least make it look like it.
So this not-so-little-girl married Mr. Darcy via Ficlets.
And I am now, ladies and gentlemen,
Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy
