So Much Suffering(pt. 2)

She sat on her heels, unable to get up, muttering to herself about how no good could come from acting like a human. Humans were silly. They were impulsive. And she had acted like one. How could she have been so stupid?

She couldn’t move, but this was no time to panic. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, focused her powers, and… broke free. She rose to her feet, slowly moving toward the center, her stride getting longer every step she took. She felt tears rolling down her cheeks as she neared the strongest point of energy. This was painfully serious. She reached the center, knelt, and put her hand to her ground to establish a connection. She yelped, then gained control. There were people. People left an energy here… wait, no, the entirety of at least four souls, confused… and not human.

“Who are you?” a female voice yelled from the pool of energy.

“Help,” she replied. “I’m here to help.” She attempted to find out what they were without them noticing.

“And how do you propose to do that?”
