The Life of a Double Football Player Mom {Kermitgorf's Sport Challenge}

“Football practice is after school today. I need my white UnderArmor shirt washed,” informs number 64. I growl under my breath. It’s 5:30 am and my day is already starting out bad.

Rolling from the bed, 00 sleepily stumbles to the laundry room while I glare at the washer willing it to spin. “What day is it?” I turn to him, “Tuesday, and practice is at 5.” He sighs and turns to leave, then stops. “That means I have to wait until after 7:30 to eat supper then right?” Finally the spin cycle kicks in. “Yep,” I answer.

We make it through a lazy day then the fun starts again. Junior high practice is immediately after school, so, 00 and I head home for some homework. I start the family’s supper and by the time homework and cooking are complete, it is time to suit up and head out. Again.

Watching the clock carefully, we wait patiently as 64 changes to street clothes, so that we may make it across town to PCRA practice on time.

While 00 runs and hits, 64 and I do homework; praying 7:30 will come soon.
