It Will Never Be the Same
Here I sit, all alone,
wallowing in my pain and sorrow.
He doesn’t know, he can’t find out,
so I must bear this burden alone.
Confusion, tension, tears streaking down my face,
my fast breathing fogging the bathroom window.
I watch my reflection,
barely seeing the rain pouring down,
realization washing over me;
my life is changed, it will never be the same.
I looked down, glancing at it one last time,
and threw the test into the trash.
