He was outside, walking around in circles with his hands thrust into his pockets.As I quietly snuck out towards him I heard him sigh, I could see his breath in the cold.
“Wes?”
He spun around,”Oh, um, hi Judie…”he looked at the ground mumbled something. He lifted his head back up again, “Look, Judie, I’m really sorry, I should’ve never—”
I cut him off, “Don’t be sorry Wes, it’s not like you did anything to me.”
He turned, staring up at the sky,”It’s stupid though.Why is it all the guys that go for you are idiot drunks like Blake or…”He paused before continuing,”I just don’t want you to think I’m like that, because I’m not. I may be an idiot, but I’m not a drunk,”he turned to face me, his deep eyes digging into me, “But you, how can you trust me?When I’ve done what Blake did,”he sighed,”Who hell would trust someone who nearly went all the way with, with,” he sounded disgusted with himself as he spat out the last word, “Emily!”
