“Tai, are you ready to find out why I came?â€? He got up, walked into the living room, and sat next to me on the couch. “I wanted to tell you that you need to move on and not wait for me anymore. I’m leaving the country and I don’t know when I’m coming back.â€?
“Where are you going? And if I want to wait I’ll wait.â€?
“I’m going to London to live and work for bit. I don’t want you miss out on something that can be great.â€? I got up, kissed him on the cheek, headed to the room, and went to bed. As I walked away he said, “We could be great.” I woke up the morning to find him sleeping on the couch. “Good- bye Tai.” I called a cab and left for home.
