Ficlets

This stone tablet is curious.

The small temples of the First Fox were few and far between, and always well hidden to boot. Even in Zhuinn, the largest of these sacred “Rogue’s’ holy grounds” was kept safe from view of the public. It’s doors, however, were open to any who could find them. So, it should not have been surprising that a man known for solving mysteries would find himself in such a haven.

Kwen Yet’s stone frame clomped along the path as his eyes searched intently over his spectacles for something very specific. He mumbled aloud as his thoughts seemed to race ahead of his mind. He moved cautiously past a praying Satyr in a business suite, but didn’t seem to have any interest in him. He stopped before a strange carving over one of the side walls and took a crouched seat facing it. He studied the wall for at least an hour, his eyes tracing every crevice.

It was a strange carving that took the form of a canine, presumably fox or wolf, carrying a large circle of fire on it’s back – representing the sun or the light thereof .
