An Excerpt.

“The stars are so pretty tonight…I wish we could just lay out here like this all the time.”

“Hmm, me too…augh, my arm is going all tingly…!”

“Oh, sorry. Better?”

“Much, thank you.”

“Hah! Now I can feel your voice rumbling!

Do you ever wonder if there’s more?”

“More what?”

“More…to life. More out there. It seems hard to believe that out of all that, we’re all that’s here, y’know?”

“I guess, I dunno, I never really thought about it.”

“Really? Never?”

“Not really, I mean, I’ve got enough going on down here as it is without worrying about aliens.”

“Well, you’re no fun.”

“As I recall it, you weren’t saying that last night…”

“Geez, say it a little louder, please? I don’t think your mom heard that…or your neighbors down the street…”

“Now who’s not being fun?”

“I love you.”

“Me too.”

[I usually have problems with focusing on descriptions too much. This was an exercise to combat that. Any (positive/negative) feedback is much appreciated!]
