Honestly, I’m on the fence. I like the straightforward delivery of the fantastic/magical elements, and there’s a nice amount of suggestion of details outside this little piece. But…I dunno’. Didn’t grab me, but that may be cause I’ve read too many ficlets for the day. Wish I could be more concrete.
