Chymicalpunk is a variant of Medieval Steampunk. It is essentially alternate history/science-fiction tales set in the Dark Ages/Early Middle Ages. The name is derived from the fact that the tales typically involve the development of advanced chemical compositions far more advanced than the time period truly saw.

This has some neat content.

I’m rather certain the term chymicalpunk existed before this ficlet, but I will admit that a google search reveals no other uses. Strange.

And I honestly have no clue who Baron Sidney of Vicioushire, but am intrigued.
