Romantic at Starbucks

Sara went through her schedule absentmindedly. She was still in a daze about what she had done the night before, and she wanted to know what would come of her daring act.

The day went by uneventfully and Sara was happy when the final bell rang. Darting out the main office doors she looked for her crush, but he hadn’t got dismissed yet. Unable to wait long Sara kicked at the ground as she walked down to Starbucks.

Donning the green apron and black button up shirt that was her uniform she clocked in and began her daily regimen of serving already uptight mothers their daily caffeine fix, handing teenagers their ‘too-much-homework-need-coffee’ latte, and giving the busy business men the wireless password.

Expecting a long day Sara tapped on the counter, impatient and cranky. It took all her energy not to snap at the customers. That was when Wyatt entered the store. Her heart nearly lept into her throat.

“Hey Sara.” Wyatt fiddled with his headphone. “I saw the graffiti. Can you go on break for a few minutes?”
