Brushing the bully
‘So,’ Amber said as I slammed my locker shut, ‘Why were you so out of it during class earlier? You’re never like this, not even with the other nightmares.’ ‘I…you know that new girl?’ I asked. ‘Yeah…?’ ‘This might sound strange but, I think she’s the girl in my nightmare…’ ‘Wait. You really think Penny…really?’ Amber asked. ‘Yeah, I do…’
Noise a few feet away interrupted me.
’...and the next time think twice before shoving me!’ Kim growled. ‘I-I said…’ ‘Not again.’ I moaned ‘Hey! Kim! She didn’t mean it alright…back off.’ I said. ‘Fine then Jo. But keep your punk friend away from me. The next time she even brushes me, I’m pounding you!’ Kim said, a little too close for comfort. ‘Fine. Whatever.’ I said as I stepped past Kim to help my new “punk friend”. I bent down to pick up some of her books and papers which she began insisting that I didn’t do. I looked up saying, ‘Of course I do…’ I choked on my words. ‘Penny! H-hey. oh here. I’m…what was that all about?’ ‘Oh…life…’ She sighed.
